AFDA scriptwriting short course

AFDA The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance will be hosting a three-week scriptwriting short course at its Cape Town campus.

Duration: Three weeks (21 hours)

Schedule:

Option 1. Two evenings/week and Saturday mornings

Thursday 25 September 6:30-8:30pm (2 hours)
Saturday 27 September 10:30am -1:30pm (3 hours)
Week commencing 29 September, 2 evenings - 6:30-8:30pm (4 hours)
Saturday 4 October 10:30am -1:30pm (3 hours)
Week commencing 6 October, 2 evenings - 6:30-8:30pm (4 hours)
Saturday 11 October 10:30am -1:30pm (3 hours)
Week commencing 13 October, 1 evening - 6:30-8:30pm (2 hours)

Option 2. Three evenings/week

Thursday 25 September 6:30-8:30pm (2 hours)
Week commencing 29 September, 3 evenings - 6:30-8:50pm (7 hours)
Week commencing 6 October, 3 evenings - 6:30-8:30pm (6 hours)
Week commencing 13 October, 3 evenings - 6:30-8:30pm (6 hours)

Course Coverage: From concept to a seven minute screenplay.

Requirements: Should have some tertiary education and/or an interest in writing and desire to try your hands at a screenplay.

Number of students: minimum ten participants to validate the running of the course.

Full Cost of Course: R3 500 each
