This course aims to empower managers with the general and simple coaching and mentoring skills applicable to the workplace.
With the advent of BEE-compliance and affirmative action there is a great need for the ability to coach and mentor staff as a way of setting them up for success when being groomed or trained for certain positions within companies.
Attendees will receive information on what coaching and mentoring is, what coaching and mentoring conversations look like, when to have these conversations and how to ensure that these conversations run successfully.
In addition, coaching and mentoring conversations offer a useful skill set that can be easily applied to business meetings, general management conduct and to communication skills in dealing with staff and teams, as well as across departments, in order to ensure that all the parts are operating as a coherent whole.
This workshop is applicable to both junior and senior managers who need either a firm foundation on which to build their management skill set or to expand their current knowledge base, so as to confidently empower and assist staff who are climbing the corporate ladder, and need the support and guidance of a more experienced member of staff who is able to guide them through the development process.
