Dial Direct and Sparletta get fun twist with Cullinan
Issued by: Fresh Eye Film Productions

Brands receiving the Bevan Cullinan brand of comedy, recently, are two television commercials for Dial Direct and three for Sparletta.

"Breakdown"

"Empty"

"Bottle Drinker"
Ad agency MGM knew they were assured of getting a balanced mix of drama and comedy if they put their two Dial Direct commercials in the hands of the Fresh Eye director. A clever spin on an old ‘turn around gag' is used, whereby the source of the sound track to the movie is revealed to be coming from characters in situ. The main impetus of Bevan's treatment was to create tense cinematic openings for the commercials which would create a greater juxtaposition for the reveal.

The making of the three Sparletta commercials was a collaborative effort between Cullinan and Lowe Bull in an effort to create a quirky television ad campaign to position the brand outside the norm in keeping with its pay-off line ‘why not bend the rules'?
