Philips at the forefront of medical technology

Philips South Africa recently held an IT Roadshow at the Melrose Arch Hotel in Johannesburg, where Dr Jan Willem Kuiper from Rotterdam, Netherlands presented on the PACS Isite systems, further explaining how this technology is digitising Radiology Departments worldwide. He said that doctors should embrace a film and paper free environment as the benefits of a digitized department in terms of saving time and money are hugely important.

Philips Medical Systems is acknowledged worldwide as a leader in Digital Imaging Modalities and Digital Radiology, and is continuously strengthening its position as a primary supplier of technology to the healthcare industry. This year's IT roadshow aimed at educating local medical practitioners on the benefits and different usages of this technologically advance piece of equipment.
